Rev. Woody L. Martin was born again in June 1959 and called to preach in 1961. He then began his journey by pastoring a Baptist church from 1961 until 1963 and in 1964 he received the  baptism in the Holy Ghost.

In 1984 Rev. Martin obtained his honorary Doctorate of Divinity from Kingsway Bible College in Des Moines, Iowa.

Rev. Martin and his wife Peggy of 42 years reside in the city of their birth Lenoir City, TN. She stands with him proclaiming the good news. They have raised their four children in admonition of the Lord and they too are ministers of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

In June 1974 Pastor Martin founded the Victory Temple Church. Five satellite churches have been started from there. Victory Temple houses a television studio and is on several TV stations at this time. Pastor Martin’s world-wide goal and vision is to bring the good news of Jesus Christ our savior, healer, deliverer, and the great way-maker to the entire Earth.

Victory Temple Church is a refuge; a place of signs, wonders, and miracles following the spoken word of God and His anointing. In the very first service in 1974 God opened the blind eye of an eight-year-old girl. God’s presence is manifested in every service to meet the needs and desires of His people by the miraculous working power of His Spirit.
